蔡英文过境纽约 外交部：已向美方提出严正交涉

周5的外交部记者例会上，耿爽再次强调，中方坚决反对美台官方往来。

Q:Taiwanese "president" Tsai Ing-wen is on a two-day visit to the US. What does the foreign ministry think about the visit given the recent arms sale from the US to Taiwan?

问：台湾“总统”蔡英文即将开始为期两天的过境美国之行，在近期美对台军售背景下，外交部如何看待蔡此次行程？

A:I'm afraid I need to correct you on this: we call her the leader of the Taiwan region, and there is no so-called "president" in that region.

答：恐怕还得先纠正你一下：我们称她为台湾地区领导人，不承认所谓“总统”称谓。

Regarding the "transit" of the leader of the Taiwan region in the US, we have made clear our solemn position. Here I'd like to emphasize this again. China opposes official exchange between the US and Taiwan. This position is firm and clear. We have made stern representationsto the US side.

关于台湾地区领导人“过境”美国的问题，我们已经表明过严正立场。我这里愿再次强调，中方坚决反对美台官方往来，这一立场坚定明确，我们已经就此向美方提出了严正交涉。

We urge the US to abide by the one-China principle and the three China-US Joint Communiques, not allow Tsai Ing-wen's transit and stop the official exchange with Taiwan. It must no longer provide any platform for the separatists to advocate "Taiwan Independence". It needs to deal with Taiwan-related issues properly and with caution to avoid damaging China-US relationship and peace and stability across the Taiwan Straits.

我们敦促美方恪守一个中国原则和中美三个联合公报规定，不允许蔡英文“过境”，停止美台官方往来，也不要为“台独”分裂势力宣扬“台独”主张提供任何平台，慎重妥善处理涉台问题，以免严重损害中美关系和台海的和平稳定。

As we stated, China's position on US arms sales to Taiwan is also stern. We urge the US to cancel the arms sales immediately and cut its military ties with Taiwan.

关于美对台军售问题，我之前也表明过中方的严正立场，我们敦促美方立即撤销有关军售，停止美台军事联系。
